This category needs billing logic that does not exist in general-purpose software: per-piece pricing, soil-count billing, tare weight, recurring contract charges, weekly minimums and surcharges. Check that a vendor was actually built for textile rental rather than adapted from a broader delivery or ERP product.

If you are evaluating either one, it is worth asking directly about the roadmap — whether the products stay separate long-term or eventually merge — before signing a multi-year contract.
Do I need RFID, or is barcode tracking enough?
It depends on volume and shrinkage risk. RFID (used by LinenTech and available as a module from several vendors here) allows bulk reads of a whole cart or delivery at once, which saves labor at high volume and improves loss tracking, but it costs more upfront in tags and readers. A smaller operation counting a few hundred pieces a day can often run well on barcode scanning alone — ask each vendor to size the hardware cost against your actual volume before assuming you need RFID.
